Choice of Filament
The first step is to select the appropriate filament for manufacturing the products. Depending on the specific needs of the product, different types of materials (PLA, TPU, etc.) and colors can be chosen to ensure the desired quality and characteristics.
3D Printer Preparation and Model Slicing
This step begins with cleaning the print platform and calibrating the axes to ensure accurate printing. Then the 3D model is loaded into slicer software such as Orca Slicer. The slicer converts the model into specific instructions for the 3D printer, setting parameters like layer height and printing speed. Once sliced, the generated file is ready to be sent to the printer to start printing.
3D printing
With the printer ready and the filament chosen, 3D printing of the product can begin. The 3D files are loaded into the printer software, the parameters are configured (temperature, speed, etc.), and printing is started. This step can last from a few minutes to several hours depending on the complexity and size of the product.
Finishing and Cleaning
Printed products are cleaned to remove any filament residue and improve the finish. Additional post-processing steps like sanding, painting or assembling different parts may be necessary depending on the desired final product.
Quality Control
Once the products are finished, each item is carefully inspected to ensure it meets quality standards. This includes checking dimensions, surface finish, and the absence of visible defects. Defective products are corrected or reprinted if necessary.
Packaging and Preparation for Shipping
The finished products are then packaged to ensure their protection during transport. Each package includes a letter. Packages are labeled with delivery information and any other required details. Particular attention is paid to the accuracy of addresses to avoid delivery errors. The packages are then organized according to their destination.
Shipping
The last step is to send the packages. Products are delivered to the chosen delivery service (post, courier, etc.), and tracking notifications are sent to customers so they can track the progress of their order delivery. After-sales follow-up can also be put in place to ensure customer satisfaction.
These detailed steps ensure a structured and efficient production and shipping process, ensuring high quality products and a positive customer experience.
